We know why we want to get healthy.
Here's some links that can help you if you're still debating on why you should get healthy. Why is exercise important? Here's a link as to why cardio is good for us: Choosing Cardio Exercises for Your Fitness Program Here's why strength training is good for us: Strength training: Get stronger, leaner, healthier - MayoClinic.com Also, from watching the t.v show, Doctors, I learned something about cardio exercises. It works our hearts, which is one of the biggest muscles in our bodies. Wouldn't you want a healthy heart? I have a personal story (not really mine) to share. In 2010, my mom that did not birth me (my MIL) who was 84, accidentally fell and broke her hip. As some of us know, falls like that for people of that age group, are not really good. Their bones are usually brittle. But for my MIL, she is not typical for her age. She had an awesome surgery (maybe good surgeon??). Her recovery was fast. Rehab was great. She blew through physical therapy. I believe she recovered so well and so fast is because she was so active. She swims daily. She used to do pilates. Because she was a physical therapist, she knows how important health is. She is one of my inspirations on why I want to get healthy. I hope this helps everyone that is not sure why you should get healthy and the importance of exercise. For me, I can totally attribute my big losses to when I added in exercise. It's part of the whole picture - I eat well because I exercise, I exercise because I eat well! Doing one without the other will work for a bit but when you're committed to both, it truly starts to change your lifestyle.

exercise to me must be fun. weight loss in general my opinion must be enjoyable or I wont do it. because if this is suppose to be a lifestyle change then you might as well enjoy it cause its for the long haul! this is why I only do active things that are fun to me and that I like. I work out everyday for at least an hour doing something I LOVE to do (volleyball, basketball, walking trails/walking my dog on a beautiful day, dance aerobics, playing frisbee with my husband, chasing my son at the park, toning with dumbells).
I hate when you have people try to encourage exercise or lose weight referring by doing things that the person hates. many people would say go run or go to the gym to lose weight. you do not have to run to lose weight. I hate running. you do not have to go to the gym to lose weight. I hate going to the gym. the best weight loss advice that have really helped me on my weight loss journey is to find something you can do for atleast 30 minutes and do it everyday or atleast 5-6 days out of the week! and if you do not like to do anything then just walk lol. |
